What grade levels and subjects do you cover?

We work with students in kindergarten through 12th grade across a wide range of subjects — including reading and literacy, writing, math at all levels (from basic arithmetic through calculus), science, history, and test prep for the SAT, ACT, and state assessments.

If you're not sure whether your child's specific need is something we cover, just ask. We'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit or whether a more specialized resource would serve them better.

How do virtual sessions actually work?

Sessions take place via video call on a secure, parent-approved platform. Your child will need a device with a camera, a stable internet connection, and a quiet space to work. Tutors use a mix of screen sharing, digital whiteboards, and shared documents to make sessions feel interactive and collaborative — not like staring at a screen doing worksheets.

Most sessions run 45–60 minutes, and your child will always work with the same tutor each week so the relationship stays consistent.

How do you match my child with the right tutor?

Matching is something we take seriously. After your free parent consultation, we consider your child's grade level, the specific subjects they need help with, their learning style based on what you share with us, and any other factors you mention — like a preference for a patient, low-pressure environment or a tutor with experience in learning differences.

We don't just assign whoever is available. If we don't have the right match at the moment, we'll tell you rather than place your child with someone who isn't a strong fit.

How will I know if tutoring is actually working?

We build progress tracking into every student's plan from the start, so you're never left wondering what's happening in sessions. You'll receive regular progress updates from your child's tutor, and we schedule check-ins with parents at key milestones to review goals and adjust the plan if needed.

We also encourage you to watch for the signs that matter most at home — your child approaching homework with less dread, asking more questions, or saying things like "I think I actually get it now." Those moments tell us as much as any assessment.

What if my child doesn't connect with their tutor?

It happens, and it's okay. A strong tutor-student relationship is part of what makes tutoring work, so we'd rather know quickly than let a mismatch continue.

Do you offer one-time sessions, or do we need to commit to a package?

We primarily work with families through ongoing weekly or bi-weekly sessions because consistency is what actually moves the needle for most students. That said, we do offer one-time academic intensives for specific situations — like cramming for an upcoming exam or getting a targeted review of one concept area.
